Nami has been present since the first episodes of ONE PIECE and has worked hard to play the role of the anime’s co-star. It has grown a lot over time, with Eiichiro Oda deciding not only to prepare it for clashes with other crews, but also to present itself well to its fans. Therefore, Nami has a lot of outfits between anime and manga.
Initially wearing a t-shirt and shorts, the orange-haired navigator then switched to tank tops, heavier or lighter clothes, inspired by Arabia as in the Alabasta saga and much more. From the time jump of ONE PIECE, Oda seems to enjoy expanding his female protagonist’s wardrobe more and more.
This also results in cosplayers pampering themselves when they have to play Nami. Everyone chooses the version they want to be inspired by and between anime, manga, specials and films there is only the embarrassing choice. Japanese cosplayer Mirurumi decided to bring one Nami Cosplay in an all white swimsuit but a crown, a red cloak and some jewels are not missing.
