In the world of Neon Genesis Evangelion Desolation is everywhere. The arrival of angels into the world has brought chaos and devastation, forcing humanity to hole up in a few ultra-technological and well-defended strongholds. One of them, Neo-Tokyo, is the famous homeland of the protagonists of the anime created by Hideaki Anno in the 90’s.
With only 26 episodes and two films available, the original Neon Genesis Evangelion series focuses on just a few characters to discover. Alongside the protagonist Shinji Ikari, a poor fourteen year old boy caught in the middle of events bigger than him, Coming to work is Misato Katsuragi, a woman who becomes his guardian and takes the boy’s welfare to heart. Just looking at this terrified little boy will take his protection and host him in his own home, albeit not without hiccups.
Misato Katsuragi is still a woman with her own aspirations and vices, such as alcohol. However, she remains impeccable when stepping into the role of a soldier, one of her key roles.
