In almost 100 years of history, the Disney has collected many fairy tales from past centuries over time, transform and adapt to the cannon of the time. From its beginnings with Snow White to the other animated films, many princesses have been born that have become a fundamental element of the collective imagination and pop culture.
In the late 1980s, Andersen’s famous fairy tale The Little Mermaid landed in the entertainment giant’s sights. As usual, the Disney changed history dramatically to customize it and make it a happy ending. The Little Mermaid, starring red-haired Ariel singing and dancing with friends in the depths of the sea, was a very different story that still fascinates many, so much so that Disney is working on a live-action one. While waiting for this project to come to fruition and be shown in cinemas, the cosplayers refer to the most famous version of Ariel.
That’s what Russian model and cosplayer Elara focused on Ariel Cosplay from The Little Mermaid., where the fiery red hair is very striking, while the girl comes out of the water with a simple costume of two purple shells and where you can see the green tail lost under the waves.
