On the official page for the animated adaptation of the multimedia project by MAPPA, Avex pictures and Cygames, Zombieland sagathe first promotional video was released for the second season of the project entitled Zombieland Saga: Revenge. The video confirms the premiere planned for April 2021 and the production by the studios MAPPA.
On the other hand, the production of this second season was announced from July 27, 2019, while the first season of twelve episodes was produced by the studios. MAPPA, Headed by Munehisa Sakai and scripts from Shigeru Murakoshi, released October 2018. A manga adaptation by the hand of Megumu Soramichi will be published through the service Cycomi from the publisher Cygames since October 2018 the publisher has been publishing the first and so far only compilation volume in February 2019

- Yasuharu Takanashi ((Bishoujo Senshi Sailor moon crystal, Fukigen na Mononokean), returns to compose the soundtrack in collaboration with Funta7.
Zombieland Saga Synopsis
Sakura Minamoto dreams of becoming an idol. Unfortunately, reality hits her like a truck (in the truest sense of the word) and she dies in a sudden car accident. Ten years later, she wakes up in Saga Prefecture and becomes a zombie with no memory of her past. While she is still accepting her new fate, she meets a man named Koutarou Tatsumi, who explains that he resurrected her and six other girls from other eras as zombies in an attempt to economically revive Saga Prefecture by creating a group of idols.
Koutarou takes on the role of an aggressive manager and starts planning events. The girls finally accept it and decide to name their idol group “Franchouchou”. An absurdly comical take on the anime idol genre, Zombieland Saga tells the moving story of Franchouchou saving the Saga Prefecture while hiding his identity as zombies and rediscovering their past.
