On the official Twitter account for the original anime Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha of Aru, the production of a new series of short films was announced. Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha by Aru Churutto!. The statement did not include a release date.

The original series was created by Takahiro, produced by Studio Gokumi and directed by Seiji Kishi, as part of a multimedia project titled “Takahiro IV Project”. The series aired in Japan in October 2014, with a total of twelve episodes. This project has inspired multiple adaptations to light novels and manga, as well as a video game for Play Station Vita released in Japan in February 2015, and a visual novel for Windows launched in December 2014.

A second season, which consisted of adapting a prequel light novel and a sequel aired between March 2017 and January 2018.

Synopsis of Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru

In her daily life, Yuuna Yuuki is a heroine. As proof, she is a member of her high school’s Hero Club, where she does her best to bring smiles to everyone around her. But Yuuna, always ready to fulfill any task, is about to take a further step in her career as a heroine.

Mysterious destructive forces called “Vertexes” threaten the people he loves, and the Hero Club is called through a mysterious app to save them. In the company of her best friend Mimori Tougou, as well as the sisters Fuu and Itsuki Inubouzaki, they must transform into magical girls to fight.
