A few moments ago, the official website was dedicated to the anime of Yuri !!! on ice released the first teaser trailer for Yuri on Ice: Ice AdolescenceThe prequel movie was announced shortly after the 2016 anime ended. The film was originally due to be released in 2019 but MAPPA decided to postpone the release due to production issues.
The teaser in question was first shown in January 2019 and today, almost two years later, it was finally released on the series’ official YouTube channel. The work’s Twitter profile shared the clip again, writing: “The film is still in production and the studio is improving and enriching the content as much as possible, but at the moment we cannot announce the release date“.
Yuri on Ice is a 2019 original MAPPA anime, written by Mitsuro Kubo and Sayo Yamamoto, that tells the story of professional skater Yuri Katsuki. Staff and cast are working on the film again, which tells the story of Yuri’s trainer, skating legend Victor Nikiforov.
MAPPA is currently involved in the production of several anime, including Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack of the Giants 4. The studio has several projects under control and as a result, the film’s arrival could even be postponed until 2022.
