The sequel to Inuyasha, Yashahime: Princess half-demonalready had an opportunity to let the public speak for better and for worse about themselves. Despite some controversy, fans have welcomed the return of the characters envisioned by writer Rumiko Takahashi, an icon of the anime and manga genre.
After narrating past events, the plot has finally resumed the story of the three heroines, which however will shortly end again The anime should end with episode 24. The final episode, barring last-minute changes, should be out tomorrow and will likely bring good news.
A reliable source on Wibo actually revealed a new anime project for Yashahime: Princess Half Demon, presumably a new television season given the huge success of the Inuyasha sequel. Either way, the source makes it known that the official announcement should arrive in days, which now seems like a formality. Crunchyroll, who has the right to broadcast the anime in Italy, describes the plot of the anime as follows:
“”Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon follows the story of the daughters of Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha, who embark on a journey through time. During the Japanese feudal period, the half-demon twins Towa and Setsuna were torn apart by a forest fire. Desperate for her younger sister, Towa ventures into a mysterious tunnel that transports her to what is now Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi’s brother Sota and his family. Ten years later, the tunnel that connects the two eras will be reopened so that Towa can reunite with Setsuna, a demon hunter who works for Kohaku. But Towa is shocked to discover that Setsuna has apparently lost all memories of her older sister. As soon as they get to know Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, the three young girls travel through the two eras in an adventure in order to regain their lost past.“”
