Synopsis of Yama no Susume
As a child, Aoi Yukimura loved mountains and was passionate about climbing. However, after an accident on the playground, she became afraid of heights and turned to indoor hobbies. Unfortunately, Aoi, who is now a shy high school freshman, is so engrossed in these hobbies that she can barely connect with others, leaving them virtually with no friends. It wasn’t until he met the lively Hinata Kuraue, an old friend from his climbing days, that things began to change.
Impulsive and lively, Hinata insists that Aoi join her in all kinds of climbing activities. Although initially hesitant, Aoi quickly discovers that her time with Hinata brings back fond memories of her childhood and she soon decides to start climbing again. When the return to her previous hobby pulls her out of her shell, Aoi makes close friends, takes on new challenges, and continues to find her own breath to climb.
