Summary of Yakunara Mug Cup Mon.
Tajimi City is known for its Mino pottery and is the hometown of Himeno Toyokawa’s mother. Himeno’s mother, considered a legend in the world of ceramics, died suddenly when she was four years old. But his legacy lives on in the dozen of unique mugs that adorn Toyokawa’s new restaurant in Tajimi. Himeno recently moved to the city following the bankruptcy of his father’s company in Tokyo and brings a few cups from his mother to his first day of school to make friends. One of the people who immediately shows interest is Mika Kukuri, an eccentric girl from Himeno’s class, who soon introduces him to Tooko Aoki, the president of the pottery club. After Himeno learns about his mother’s contributions to the club and the art form, Himeno asks his father for permission, which he is happy to grant. Together with Mika and her childhood friend Naoko Naruse, Himeno joins the Pottery Club to continue her mother’s beloved work and discover her own passion for the craft.
