The Company WIT Studio founded a stop-motion animation studio in collaboration with the director Pui Pui Molcar, Tomoki Misato In December 2020, the studio released an animated short film entitled “Candy Caries” as its first project.

Tomoki Misato was responsible for directing the short film while Kenta Yamada was the animation producer. Masaaki Tanaka ((Pocket monster: Minna no Monogatari) meanwhile was responsible for the 2D animation Yutaka Yamada ((Great pretender) was responsible for composing the soundtrack. In addition, this new stop-motion studio will help expand the production capacities of WIT Studio. The company’s official website also announced that it is hiring for this division.

Finally, Pui Pui Molcar is an original series of studies Shin-egg animation which is broadcast in Japan on the children’s vaudeville channel Children TV from TV Tokyo. The series focuses on a series of guinea pigs transforming into vehicles and uses stop-motion animation in its production. This project marks Tomoki Misato’s debut as a director and will be released on the Netflix catalog in Latin America this month.
