The weapons of the ancestors, the heavenly dragons, what is the treasure, but also that Mystery that seems to surround the Straw Hat of the protagonist.
If at first it seemed like just a simple accessory, with the appearance of Im-sama and the presence of that giant straw hat, it seems that there could be more to this garment. Who gave the straw hat in ONE PIECE to Gol D. Roger??
We know that the Pirate King gave his hat to Shanks the Red before he died, and he gave it to the current protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy. Instead, virtually nothing is known about the reverse route: Roger’s origins are still fairly mysterious and thus one can only speculate as to what happened. The scenes we have seen in Rayleigh’s memoir show that when they first met Roger already had his hat on.
Therefore, he either received it as a child from an eminent pirate, or he had inherited it from his parents at birth. After all, it has the D in its name and therefore the Gol family could be related to an old pirate who he descends directly from Joy Boy or from important families of the old kingdom.
