The first season of Jujutsu Kaisen was broadcast at the turn of the year 2020/2021 with 24 episodes that attracted everyone’s attention. The achieved success prompted Studio MAPPA to shoot the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 based on the events of some prequel chapters designed by Gege Akutami.
The main story was therefore temporarily interrupted and it was necessary to wait for the confirmation of the making of Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen. The next episodes will appear in a generic “2023” for the time being, although the exact date is not yet known. Initially, some sources spoke of a “Winter 2023,” effectively referring to January, the start date of anime’s winter season in Japan. Nothing is confirmed, however January 2023 is the most likely date we will see Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. Indeed, given the preparatory year, it is difficult to go beyond winter 2023 or spring 2023.
However, problems that lead to postponements in the direction of summer 2023 or even autumn 2023 cannot be ruled out it seems very unlikely given the organization of Studio MAPPA, not to mention that the impact of the ad would reduce the hype for so much time.
