Summary of Uchi no Shishou wa Shippo ga Nai
The fantasy story takes place in the Taisho era in Japan (1912-1926). Follow Mameda, a shapeshifting raccoon girl who dreams of becoming human. Mameda transforms her looks into a pretty, black-haired human girl and sets off for the busy city of Osaka. But Mameda’s costume quickly attracts attention, and a beautiful woman recklessly says to the depressed Mameda: “Go back to where you came from.” It turns out that this woman named Bunko is, in turn, a supernatural creature turned into a narrator of rakugo (comic book stories). Mameda asks Bunko to become her teacher and teach her how to play a human.
