Image Comics is preparing for publication a new fantasy comic series penned by popular cartoonist Scottie Young. Twig, as the work is called, will be a five-issue mini-series designed by artist Kyle Strahm, whose particular style can be admired thanks to the preview shared by Comicbook.
Scottie Young is a cartoonist known for his distinctive style. However, in Twig’s creative team, Young takes on the role of writer, while not refraining from illustrating some of the miniseries covers. It’s not the first time the cartoonist has attempted a series for Image: Back in 2020, Young was a writer on the Middlewest series.
“Kyle and I both grew up in the heyday of fantasy movies, filled with creatures, creatures, and unlikely heroes engaged in epic missions“says Young about Twig’s attitude.”This is our declaration of love to this era we never left!“.

Branch #1 will be published by Image Comics in the US on May 4, 2022. Below we share the preview of the first edition along with the Cover by the authors Strahm and Young. In any case, it won’t be the only cover by Skottie Young to be released at short notice: the cartoonist is actually among the artists chosen by Marvel to create one of the fourteen cover variants of the first issue of the Spider-Man relaunch.
