Akira Amano is a very well-known name in the manga world. In fact, for eight years, the Japanese author was involved in the production of Tutor Hitman Reborn, a manga about a certain mafia that was published in Weekly Shonen Jump and also had success with anime. Years later, now it’s his new story’s turn, Ron Kamonohashi.
After the Psycho Pass and Eldlive staples, Akira Amano has started this completely new project, leaning more towards the yellow and mysterious genre, which will be released on Shonen Jump + from 2020. Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective immediately caught the eye with visits to the digital magazine app and volume sales, and for this reason there was talk of an anime that was later confirmed at Jump Festa.
Now comes the first Trailer for Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective, shown directly at Shueisha’s house event, which took place between December 17th and 18th. This video available above was shown in the special panel, just over a minute with scenes focusing on different characters. Almost without a voice, a background song that nourishes the thriller atmosphere and a parade of protagonists involved in this mysterious situation that obviously ends with the mysterious protagonist whose eyes are completely covered by his fringe of hair.
All of this was supported by a Key image by Ron Kamonohashi, with the protagonist casting a shadow in the center that clashes with the overlay of his profile silhouette, while the background is devoted to many puzzle pieces that seem to fit together in some places and fall in others. Will the anime from Studio Diomedea, directed by Shota Ihata, have the same characteristics as Akira Amano’s manga?
