“Respect”, episode 11 ofTokyo Revengers Anime, underscores once again how much a formidable leader Mikey is and has unique and brave principles despite being just a thug.
The episode begins with police sirens in the air. A sound that makes the criminals who want to kill Draken and Takemichi run away. When the fight is finally over, the two boys are found by Emma and Hinata, who have called an ambulance. Convinced that he has succeeded in changing the future and having fulfilled his mission, the protagonist bursts into tears with joy. But shortly afterwards in the ambulance these tears turn into pain. The heart of Draken stop beating.
While the boys rush to the hospital, Mikey is still at the battlefield and confronts Hanma. Almost exhausted, the antagonist is rescued by a companion while he reveals that he is him deputy commandant of Valhalla, a criminal group that Toman will never allow to live in peace.
Tokyo’s leader Manji Gang then runs to Draken, his closest friend. In the hospital he finds everyone else who is desperate to see what is happening. Ken is in the operating room, in balanced between life and death. However, Mikey confidently claims that his deputy commander will not leave the world so easily and that he could never break his promise. These words give Takemichi and his companions great consolation, who can rejoice after a while: Draken is safe.
After a few days of jumping in time, the blonde protagonist visits Ken, finally awake. The deputy commander of the Toman thanks him and hands him the gang’s jacket from Mikey. Not before saying goodbye to his beloved girlfriend, finally Takemichi can return to the present, Shaking hands with little Naoto.
When he wakes up in his real life, the protagonist realizes that he has a deep scar on his hand, the same one that was inflicted on him during the great fight. He also learns that he still has an appointment with a hairdresser Hakkun works for. When Naoto visits his sister, Takemichi realizes that he is has accomplished its mission; but will that really be the case?
