Robert Kirkman, author of the popular comic series The Walking Dead, is not interested in making comic adaptations of the two spin-off TV series produced by AMC. Fear walking death and The Walking Dead: Beyond the World. These two series will therefore remain original shows and will not be canonical in the author's narrative universe.

Fear The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: World Beyond are two spin-off series from The Walking Dead, the AMC-produced TV adaptation starring Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus. Kirkman wrote the script for the first spin-off and took on the role of executive producer for the second, saying that several times both are canonical only in the AMC narrative universe.

As for the original comic book series, Kirkman completed The Walking Dead in July 2019 after sixteen years and 193 volumes published. For all fans interested in new series, the spin-off Negan Lives is available, the one-shot dedicated to the antagonist of the series.
