During the event Netflix Festival Japan 2021 It was announced that the original animation project was written and directed by Mitsuo Iso, Chikyuugai Shounen Shoujo (Alien boys and girls), will be published on the platform Netflix worldwide on January 28, 2022 in a series format with six episodes.
The project will also premier as a two-part film project in Japan on January 28, 2022 and February 11, 2022, as well as in Blu-ray / DVD formats. The production of this original project was announced and reported since 2018 during the Anime Central event Mitsuo Iso would direct and script for the first time since an original anime Dennou coil in 2007.
Production team

The story takes place in the year 2045, when the internet and artificial intelligence are widespread even in space, and revolves around a group of children stranded in space after a large-scale accident on a space station. Using broadband, social networks and a drone that they can manipulate through their smartphones, children supported by artificial intelligence face many challenges while waiting for the planet's help.
