More details are expected in the next issue of the magazine Bessatsu Shonen magazine, scheduled for November 9th in Japan.

Tomodachi game

Yamaguchi and Satou started publishing the manga in the magazine Bessatsu Shonen magazine from the publisher Kodansha in December 2013. The piece inspired two live action films, the first entitled Tomodachi Game Gekijouban released in June 2017, following a live-action series that aired in April 2017. The second film opened in Japan in September 2017.

Synopsis of Tomodachi game

Katagiri Yuuichi believes friends are more important than money, but she also knows the difficulties of not having enough money. He’s struggling to save so he can go on the high school trip after promising his four best friends that they would all go together. However, after all the money has been collected from the class, it will be stolen! The suspicion falls on the two friends of Yuuichi, Sawaragi Shiho and Shibe Makoto.

Shortly afterwards, the five are kidnapped and wake up in a strange room with a character from an old anime. Apparently one of them put them in a “friendly” game to pay off their enormous debts. But who was he and why did they have such debts? Could they have stolen the class money to pay for entry to the game? Yuuichi and his best friends must succeed in psychological games that will test or destroy their trust in others.
