A few months ago rumors began to circulate regarding a colossal mural dedicated to The Knights of the Zodiac, the famous series of anime and manga created by Masami Kurumada. After a period of silence, the city of León has finally shown the result of the efforts of its best street performers, leaving fans speechless.
At the bottom you can take a look at the video showing the complete work, approved by the city government as part of a project by revitalization of urban spaces. In total, nineteen artists, including professionals and street performers, have collaborated in the creation of the murals, and apparently the junta is considering the possibility of creating other similar works.
Central America has always been one of the most active macro-regions in the field of anime, in which the likes of Dragon Ball, ONE PIECE, Naruto or Saint Seiya have literally grown millions. The city of León is currently on everyone’s lips, and who knows if the success of the initiative does not inspire other countries to do the same.
And what do you say? Do you like murals? Let us know by leaving a comment in the box below! In case you were a fan of the series then, do not miss the opportunity to take a look at the video in which Elodie sings the Italian theme song of Saint Seiya and our latest special on The Knights of the Zodiac published on the occasion of the thirty-third anniversary of the Opera.
Deservedly so this HUGE art of urban art in the Mexican city of León draws admiration but is also notorious the city’s government showing off this art done by street artists in an effort to rescue urban spaces.
