Director Naoko Yamada is a familiar face in the industry for her exceptional talent that has made Studio Kyoto Animation one of the best in Japan. Recently, she was behind the camera in collaboration with Science Saru Studio for a new original anime and was entitled to it The Heike story.
Finally freed from criticism of Star Wars Visions Science Saru returns with a new original production alongside a top-class director when Masaaki Yuasa took a break after 7 years of uninterrupted work. However a first trailer for The Heike Story, the same appendix at the end of the message that immediately shows the muscles of a production of high technical and artistic quality.
The anime tells the story of the rise and fall of Clan Taira during the Genpei War. The story focuses from the perspective of Biwa, a blind traveling minstrel. Biwa meets Taira no Shigemori, the heirs of his clan, who have a supernatural sight that is able to perceive ghosts. During the meeting, she foretells a prophecy about the fall of his clan.
