In social networks it was reported that the film adaptation of the novels by Seiko Tanabe, Josee after Torah after Sakana-tachi (Josee, the tiger and the fish), was leaked and is now available through unofficial websites. The leak comes two months before the official launch of its Blu-ray / DVD in Japan, which is scheduled for August 25, a similar case that occurred a few weeks ago Violet Evergarden: The Movie.
The film opened in Japanese theaters on December 25, 2020, while Tanabe released the original novels in 1985 as part of a collection of short stories. The piece inspired a live-action film released in 2003. In addition, a manga adaptation was published by the magazine Da Vinci from the publisher Kadokawa between February and October 2020.

The story revolves around college student Tsuneo and the dreamy Josee, who lives her life trapped in a wheelchair. Josee, named after the heroine of “Wonderful Clouds”“ by FranΓ§oise Sagan, she spends most of her time reading and painting until she runs into Tsuneo by chance and decides it’s time to face the real world.
