In particular, Twitter user Kasumi_kasa managed to get an interesting interview that Isayama gave in 2014 to a well-known Japanese month in which the author speaks of the character of Levi Ackerman and reveals some details about the behavior of the inhabitants of Paradise.
Among the most interesting answers, Isayama states that Levi always had serious sleep deprivation problems and that he and other members of the Research Corps are heavy drinkers. The author also confirmed that Levi has some kind of mold phobiaand that there are several reasons why he was obsessed with cleanliness. In addition, according to Levi, Eren is the most cleanable member of the Research Corps.
Isayama then concentrated on Relationship between Levi and Erwin Smithand explains that the captain’s change is mainly due to the way he began to see his supervisor. Among other things, the mangaka showed that Mikasa is an excellent singer and that the favorite pastime of the Paradise military is making fun of each other. In short, a lot of more or less relevant information that gives the characters more depth. You can see the full translation below.
