Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure has many years behind it. The manga was actually promoted by Weekly Shonen Jump in the 80s, certainly not recently. Hirohiko Araki signed this work for decades that has entered the Japanese collective imagination. But for some time now, the series has been struggling in the animated realm.
Between short series and OVA, Jojo’s anime didn’t enjoy much fame in the 90s and early 2000s. That all changed when David Productions took over the project in 2012, Bringing to life Jojo’s bizarre adventure as we know it today. The style, the forms of expression, the music that have become fundamental elements of pop culture today were born just 10 years ago.
David Productions’ The Bizarre Adventures of Jojo turns 10 in 2022 and the studio wanted to celebrate the important milestone with a video and poster. All six protagonists of the series created so far can be seen in the key visual: Jonathan, Joseph, Jotaro, Josuke, Giorno and Jolyne. The same characters appear in the video available above with their most iconic moves and screams during the flurry of blows.
At the moment, the anime is focusing on Stone Ocean, the sixth part of the generational work, while Hirohiko Araki will soon bring Jojo Lands, the ninth part of the manga.
