Series Background
“Spice and Wolf” began as a light novel series in February 2006, published under Kadokawa’s Dengeki Bunko label. Its popularity led to a manga adaptation by Keito Koume, which ran from September 2007 to December 2017.
The franchise first received an anime adaptation in January 2008, produced by Imagine studios. A second season followed in July 2009, produced by Brain’s Base and Marvy Jack.
