A press release reported that light novels by Itsuki Mizuho and illustrated by Fuumi, Shinmai Renkinjutsushi no Tenpo Keiei (The novice alchemist's shop), will have an anime adaptation. The press release did not confirm production details or the release date, but did indicate that it will be a television series.

Mizuho and Fuumi began to publish the light novels through the publisher's label Fujimi Fantasia Bunko from the publisher Fujimi shobo in September 2019. The publisher will publish the fifth volume and a manga adaptation of in Japan on September 18 Kirero is currently in publication.
