Through the official social pages it became known that the manga Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence by Hazano Kazutake will receive a TV anime adaptation. To celebrate the announcement and the success, Kazutake created a celebratory image.

To be published in Kodansha's Shonen Mahazine R magazine since April 2017 and later also in the Magazine Pocket app, Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence will receive an anime series that has been entrusted to produce Doga Kobo animation studio, who is also involved in the anime series Oshi no Ko. Staff members announced so far include Director Sumie Noro, Composition Manager Yuka Kamada, and Character Designer Hiromi Nakagawa.

The plot follows the events of Santa Cecilia, One priestess much loved by the citizens. Elegant and composed, she benevolently shares her wisdom with all who seek it. However, she is suddenly left alone and her hopes are dashed. Only the Father Laurentius helps her to carry out her duties.

Doga Kobo recently stunned with the excellent animations of Shikimori's Just Not a Cutie, one of the most popular anime of the Spring 2022 season, for which the results of this next production are secured. With no trailers or visuals released as of this writing, it's believed that work has only just begun. The anime, hence could debut in the second half of 2023.
