Sailor Moon Eternal, the first sequel to the Sailor Moon remake by DEEN and Toei Animation, will debut in Japanese theaters on January 8, 2021 and recently showed up in a new, colorful trailer and a beautiful advertising poster.

The film will be the first of two The second is scheduled for release on February 11th. Tomorrow the Japanese audience can go into the hall to see the first feature film we will remind you to be a direct sequel to Sailor Moon Crystal in which the saga Dead Moon Arc is adapted.

The Dead Moon story arc is one of the longest in Naoko Takeuchi’s manga and is told in volumes 13-17. The production team preferred to convert the story into two feature films rather than cutting parts of the story to complete the excellent remake with dignity.

The movie won’t have an easy life at the box office, however, given the excessive power of Demon Slayer: Infinity Train and the competition from another big blockbuster like PokΓ©mon: Coco. Among other things, the BONES film recently arrived Josee, the tiger and the fish, the excellent Poupelle from Chimney Town and the live action of The promised Neverland.

We wait to find out how the Sailor Warriors will be doing at the box office, leaving for our final in-depth study of Sailor Moon.
