The imaginary of Pokémon it has been enriched over the years by many different creatures that have helped create an extremely fascinating world. In addition, there is no shortage of ambitious coaches within the franchise who are looking for the best monsters for their team.
However, there wouldn’t be a trainer if the Poké Ball, the tool used to catch Pokémon, hadn’t been invented. Today we know that the Poké Ball inside is a kind of extra-luxury suite, an ideal and welcoming place to house the franchise’s bizarre creatures. But how exactly did this object come about?
The answer is contained in an official book published in 1996 in which the Origins of the Poké Ball. It’s an invention from 1925, but the result of a failed experiment in reality Professor Nishinomori. The elderly scientist was working on an experiment to steal the energy of anger from his primeape, but one day he overdosed on him, causing a negative reaction to his Pokémon, which aroused his instinct for survival. Weakened from the overdose, Primeape tried to slip comfortably into the professor’s glasses. Back then, someone was already working on different methods of catching Pokémon, but it really was the Primeape incident to stimulate research into a possible capture capsule. Eventually, after several revisions, these bullets became easier to use and with a better capture rate, and only then did large-scale adoption begin.
