From the first episode in 1997 until today is thePokémon anime is now almost as beautiful as 1200 episodes, a number even higher than that of two legends of the caliber ONE PIECE and Detective Conan. Starting the vision today would mean spending years following Ash’s events. However, one fan did it in just 6 months.
Almost 25 years have passed since the first iconic meeting between trainer Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu a total of 1145 episodes. To this day, the Pokémon anime series continues successfully thanks to the latest iteration Pokémon Explorations, which led the protagonist to explore the Galar region and take part in a world tournament.
Starting the series from scratch is an accomplishment that discourages almost all fans: all but Twitter user @TracedThurman, who has publicly claimed to have seen all of the anime’s episodes in just six months. In a quick calculation, the fan looked through the 6 and 7 episodes per day for 182 days. A legendary feat, an extreme case of binge watching that immediately went viral.
