Crunchyrolls 2022 starts off with a bang with the debut of the first episode of Orient, one of the most anticipated anime series of the year. To celebrate this explosive new addition to the program’s already huge offerings, writer Shinobu Ohtaka shared a great sketch.
The Crunchyroll Winter Plan 2022 welcomes a title that the whole community has been waiting for with foam in their mouths. Let’s talk about Orient, an animated adaptation of the Manga by Shinobu Ohtaka, Author of Magi. there first episode, which introduces viewers to the events and is titled Musashi and Kojiro, is currently only available to stream to premium subscribers.
From the manga that was released sequentially on Bessastsu Shonen from Kodansha, Orient tells the story of Musashi, a fifteen year old boy who lives in Japan of the Sengoku period. In this universe, however, the land is ruled by demons, and Musashi tries to fight them with his special power.
In the ACGT study., the anime series is directed by Tetsuya Yanagizawa. Mariko Kunisawa is responsible for the composition, while Takahiro Kishida is credited as the character designer. The opening theme is Da-iCE, while the closing theme is a piece by Wataru Hatano. In the original cast of the voice actors we find Yuma Uchida, Soma Saito and Rie Takahashi as Musashi, Kojiro Kanemaki and Tsugumi Hattori, respectively.
The debut of the anime, the first season of which comprises a total of 12 episodes, was celebrated by the author Ohtaka, who said he can’t wait to find out how new life was instilled in his characters and how they move around in the animated version. Director Yanagizawa also commented on the series’ release, revealing that Orient is one shonen to learn from. Finally came the words of Mariko Kunisawas that the work perfectly reflects the modern society in which we live.
