Summary of Oregairu
Hachiman Hikigaya is a listless high school student with narcissistic and semi-nihilistic tendencies. He firmly believes that having a happy youth is nothing more than hypocrisy, and anyone who says otherwise is lying to himself. As an additional punishment for writing an essay ridiculing modern social relationships, he is compelling his teacher to join the Volunteer Service Club, a club that aims to give a helping hand to every student who seeks their support in achieving their goals. With the only other club member being the beautiful Frozen Yukino Yukinoshita, Hachiman is at the forefront of other people’s problems, a place he never dreamed of. If Hachiman and Yukino use their wits to solve the problems of many students, will Hachiman’s lazy vision of society prove to be an obstacle or a tool that he can use to his advantage?
