Since its announcement ONE-PIECE: RED It was one of the most anticipated projects in the Japanese animation sector and less than a month after its debut in Japan, it is already posting impressive numbers and breaking several records. The film was appreciated by millions of viewers, including a very dear person of the master Eiichiro Oda.
The same sensei actually shared with Weekly Shonen Jump readers some messages he received from his father about the film. In the section reserved for the comments of the authors who publish their works in the journal, which you can see in the @Orojapan1 post shown below, Oda wrote: “My 77 year old father told me he cried when he saw ONE PIECE: RED. i underestimated you You understand! Many Thanks!”.
Probably the mangaka dad’s heartfelt response refers to some scenes where the Father-daughter relationship between Emperor Shanks the Red and Uta, a famous singer well known in the New World islands, who we know plays a central role in the film. Finally, we remember that Uta has come to life in a fantastic cosplay and we leave you to Oda’s illustration to celebrate the success of ONE PIECE: RED.
