August 6, 2022 ONE-PIECE: RED It debuted in Japanese cinemas and a few days later is already recording stratospheric numbers. News leaks and spoilers about the film's plot have already led to the dissemination of interesting details, including information about the origins of a well-known character.
Shanks the red He was one of the first pirates to appear in the pages of the ONE PIECE manga and 25 years after the publication of the Romance Dawn chapter, his prominence has greatly increased as he has become one of the Four Emperors. Despite this, Shanks still remains a character with many mysteries, mostly related to his origins and true abilities.
Waiting to learn more about the Emperor in the final arc of the manga, Eiichiro Oda and the writers of ONE PIECE: RED recorded some of them throughout the film indications of its origin. As stated in the @sandman_AP post below, Shanks would be a part of Fearland family, which would make him a Celestial Dragon.
