The end of Wano is near. Weekly Shonen Jump has been awaiting the final part of the big fight involving Kaido, Luffy, Big Mom, Law, Kid and their crews for several weeks. The greatest pirates of their time have been clashing for quite some time, and it’s evident in the latest chapters of ONE PIECE all this will end soon.
the Spoilers of ONE PIECE 1039 are peppered with pictures this time, available below, and a full recap of events. After the Luffy and Kaido cover and a double color page with the Mugiwara adventures, we start in every respect with Chapter 1039 “Key Performers”. Momonosuke continues to cling to the clouds of fire to pull them away, gradually dragging Onigashima out of the Flower Capital. But suddenly Momonosuke feels somethingsomeone to call him.
We continue to the central stage where Big Mom was violently attacked by Kid. Kaido’s minions can’t believe their eyes, while Kid and Heart’s pirates are ecstatic. Big Mom writhes in pain. As Kid cheers, Law teleports to him and they start arguing, but the Empress recovers. However, it can be seen that the latter is badly injured, as the right arm where the broken bones can be seen is ma Big Mom admits she also has broken ribs due to Law’s dangerous technique attack from within. She then uses the Soul Spirit’s power to revive her bones and flood her arm with energy until black lightning erupts from her body. Law and Kid continue talking.
Big Mom prepares to attack with Prometheus, Hera, and Napoleon with the Maser Saber, a combination of the three spirits he used against Ulti, and slices Kid’s bull in half with one swing. Kid jumps off the bull and attacks her while Big Mom tries to counterattack, but the boy is faster and uses his power to pin Big Mom to the wall. The Empress doesn’t give up and avoids the second attack, using the same wall as a shield. Big Mom then uses Bahouhou: Misery, a new attack against Kid that fuses his sword to create a giant woman of fire and lightning. As Big Mom laughs and wonders if the opponent is still alive, one of Onigashima’s towers crashes into her. Law’s tact was successful, Big Mom finds herself on the ground, so the Death Surgeon lunges at her and stabs her in the chest with his sword.
As Big Mom tries to break free by constantly hitting Law, the pirate resists and uses a new attack, stretching his sword until it reaches Wano’s bottom, startling Yamato as well. The Puncture Ville proves deadly as the shockwave sweeps across Onigashima, triggering a frightening explosion in Wano as well. Big Mom screams in pain and spits up blood, but still manages to use his attack with Prometheus and Hera. But Law doesn’t give up and tells Kid to “use” it now. On the last spread of ONE PIECE 1039, Kid uses his ace up his sleeve: a giant electromagnetic cannon that hits Big Mom head-on. In the final panel, Law says, “Your era ends here!”. Will there really be a win over Big Mom?
