The publishers Kodansha and DC Comics have teamed up in an extravagant collaboration and proposed a manga series that focuses entirely on the topic joker, historical villain of Batman. The peculiarity of the project, however, lies in the incipit of the story, in fact the clown will grow up a little Bruce Wayne. This is how it begins One Operation Joker.

There Popularity of Joker, also from the cinema and from the numerous animated adaptations dedicated to the Caped Crusader, has made him an emblem of DC Comics and the universe of cinema comics in general. The character’s first story to land in Japan is certainly one of the most original and bizarre of Misadventures of the Prince of Crime of Gotham City.

The same author, Keisuke Gotoh, promoted the work by talking about the absurd beginning. The official Batman Twitter page posted the post which you can find at the bottom of the page that states that the first volume is already available in Japan, and the plot is briefly described. As had happened to the clown a few years earlier, if we consider the origins that were in Moore and Bolland’s masterpiece The Killing Joke, this time it was Batman’s turn to fall into a vat of chemical concoctions.

An event that made the Dark Knight a child again, whose growth and fate are now in the hands of the Joker. Keep in mind that DC Comics announced the Joker Presents: A Puzzle Box series, and we’re leaving you with the presentation of Panini from Batman: The World, a 14-volume anthological collection that will be released simultaneously worldwide on September 14th.
