And how do you learn to imitate it? Naoki Urasawa will help you with this.

The mangaka is known worldwide for its masterpieces. Billy Bat, 20th Century Boys, Monster, Pluto and many other comics known around the world were made from his head and hands. Urasawa is currently working on Asadora, but the mangaka has found the time to devote itself to videos on Youtube.

Naoki Urasawa has opened her YouTube channel in April 2021 and has shared three videos so far. In the last one, which was published a few days ago and which has already received over 30,000 views, the mangaka teaches how to use a ruler and how to draw kinetic lines using various techniques. Of course, the video is in Japanese, but official English subtitles are available so that a wider audience can benefit from the Sensei’s advice. Obviously his are Tips for drawing with the pen, as Urasawa is very fond of this type of technique.

Meanwhile, the whole world is waiting to see if there will be an anime based on 20th Century Boys or one of Urasawa’s other works.
