With the overall success of him My hero academiaKohei Horikoshi has established himself as one of the best Japanese mangaka and deserves the respect of numerous colleagues who now pay homage to him during the dedicated art exhibition. One of them is Yuki Tabata, the author of the equally famous black clover.
On the occasion of the My Hero Academia art exhibition, which has a 1: 1 scale statue of All Might, numerous wanted to make mangaka Tribute to Kohei Horikoshi, one of the most famous authors of the last few years, whose work has been appreciated even and perhaps above all outside the Japanese borders.
Everyone who enters the exhibition receives a brochure in which, in addition to spectacular illustrations that were signed by Horikoshi himself, encouraging words and honors from others can be found Mangaka from Weekly Shonen Jump.
Meaningful words come from Yuki Tabata, who thanked Horikoshi in a rather frank and emotional letter, whom he nicely called “Horipi”It influenced his work.
“Horikoshi Sensei … I think the first time I met Horipi was when he came and helped me with my one-shot that was released on Jump. At that time, Horipi was already good with the Jump serialization scene familiar, and I’d heard of him before. Although he was younger than me, he had such an extraordinary talent for drawing that it made me shudder. “
βBoth of our series were serialized on Jump, but his illustrations still make me shiver with excitement every week. There was a time when we lived side by side and also ate together. Given that our two publishing programs are super insane In the end we couldn’t do that anymore. “
βWhen the release times get tough I think, ‘Well, Horipi has the same difficulties as me,’ and that thought motivates me. Horipi even called me when I texted him to warn him about the birth of my wife. Very nice guy, so I would like to wholeheartedly congratulate him on opening the exhibition!“.
Apparently, in addition to respect and friendship with Gege Akutami from Jujutsu Kaisen, Horikoshi also has excellent relationships with Yuki Tabata from Black Clover. Would you like to see a duel challenge between Deku, Bakugo, Asta and Yuno one day?
Black Clover’s Yuki Tabata has a very long and kind message to congratulate Horikoshi on this #MHAExhibition.
He remembers the time when he first met Horikoshi and when they lived close together. He also calls Horikoshi “Horipi” haha. pic.twitter.com/Ho0Er1upqy
