A press release confirmed that the horror comedy manga was written and illustrated by Tomoki izumi, Mieruko-chan, will have an anime adaptation. The statement included information about the production team and added that the series will premiere in Japan this year.
Izumi started publishing the manga through the magazine ComicWalker from the publisher Kadokawa The publisher released the third compiled volume in March 2020, followed by the fourth in September of the same year in Japan. As for the author, he has only published the manga so far Twins.

Synopsis of Mieruko-chan
