On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga, written and illustrated by Asakura George, dance dance dancerthe second promotional video of the project was released. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for April 8th in Japan and reveals the cast consisting of:

  • daiki yamashita as Junpei Murao.
  • Kouki Uchiyama as Ruou Mori.
  • Kaede Hondo as Miyako Godai.

George started publishing the manga through the magazine Weekly Big Comic Ghosts from the publisher Shogakukan in September 2015. It should be noted that author Asakura George has also written a variety of other manga such as: heart where uchinomese!, Heibon Ponch, Koibumi Biyori, Oboreru Knife, Shounen Shoujo Romance and Suititsutou no Yoruto name a few.

  • Munehisa Sakai (Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Crystal, Suite Precure♪, Zombieland Saga) is responsible for directing the anime at the studios MAP.
  • Yoshimi Narita (Dakaretai Otoko 1-i ni Odosarete Imasu, Heroine Tarumono!: Kiraware Heroine to Naisho no Oshigoto, Itsudatte Bokura no Koi wa 10 cm Datta.) is responsible for writing and supervising the screenplays.
  • Michiru (Given, Tatoeba Last Dungeon Mae no Mura no Shounen ga Joban no Machi de Kurasu Youna Monogatari, Honzuki no Gekokujou: Shisho ni Naru Tame ni wa Shudan wo Erandeiraremasen) is responsible for composing the soundtrack.
  • Hitomi Hasegawa (Kimi ni Todoke – From me to you) is responsible for character design.
  • Yuki will feature the opening theme song “Narihibiku Kagiri (As long as it rings)”, while story will be the final theme entitled “Kase, Hana (wind, flower)”.

Dance dance dancer synopsis

Junpei is happily sleeping during his sister’s ballet recital when a male dancer takes the stage. Moved by the dancer’s strength and skill, the boy discovers his love for this art. But after a certain tragedy, he vows to put his past behind him and become the epitome of manhood. What will he do when his love for ballet is rekindled? Or rather, could he ever give up his passion?
