On the official page for the franchise’s next OVA project Mahoutsukai no Yome (The old magician’s bride), which bears the title Mahoutsukai no Yome: Nishi no Shounen to Seiran no Kishi (The Old Magician’s Bride: The Boy from the West and the Knight of the Mountain Mist) a new promo video has been released for their first release, as well as two new speakers including:
- Hiromi Igarashi like Gabriel.
- Aoi Ichikawa as a “mystery boy”.
The OVAs project will include an original story written by the author and will have a total of three publications in the special editions of the sixteenth, seventeenth, and 18th March 10, 2022 and September 10, 2022, respectively.
Yamazaki started publishing the manga in the magazine Monthly comic blade from the publisher Likes garden in November 2013 and moved to the magazine Monthly cartoon garden in September 2014, where it is still being released. The publisher published the fourteenth anthology on September 10, followed by the fifteenth on March 10 in Japan.

- Hirotaka katou (Hoozuki no Reitetsu) is responsible for character design while Kouhei Tokuoka (Bungou stray dogs) is responsible for the animation direction.
Summary of Mahoutsukai no Yome: Nishi no Shounen to Seiran no Kishi
The original three-part story is about Gabriel, an ordinary boy who had just moved from London and was bored with his surroundings until one day he saw a puff of purple smoke from the window of his house. At that moment he hurriedly chased the smoke, seeking every kind of freedom and fun. Though they shouldn’t, the boy’s world and the wizard’s world soon intersect …
Meanwhile, in the middle of a rare normal day when Elias is helping Chise prepare to attend the academy, Spriggan arrives at the mansion on a seemingly creepy horse with a grim message: It’s very strange ”.
