On the official site for the animated adaptation of the spin-off manga written and illustrated by Yu Mori, Mahouka Koukou no Yuutousei ((The Honorary Student at Magic High School) it has been confirmed that the series has dated its premiere in Japan next July 3rd. The press release also revealed the music themes, including:

  • The musical unit Sangatsu is not a fantasy will play the opening song entitled “101”.
  • The musical unit Philosophy not dance will carry out the final topic entitled “Double Standard”.
Mahouka Koukou no Yuutousei

This new production marks the 10th anniversary of the original literary franchise by Mahouka Koukou no Rettouseiwhich has inspired a large number of manga by different authors based on different storylines of the novels. For his part, Mori began publishing the spin-off manga through the magazine Monthly comic Dengeki Daioh from the publisher Kadokawa completed in April 2012 and June 2020.

  • Tsuyoshi Tamai ((Bikini Warriors, Hangyakusei Million Arthur, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu) is responsible for writing and monitoring the scripts.
  • Akitomo Yamamoto ((Dokyuu Hentai HxEros, Akanesasu Shoujo) Y. Takao Sano ((Isekai Shokudou, Erz ga Ojousama Gakkou ni “Shomin Sample” Toshite gets ♥ Sareta Ken) are responsible for character designs.
  • Taku iwasaki ((Stray bungou dogs, JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken, Kuroshitsuji) is responsible for composing the soundtrack.

Synopsis of Mahouka Koukou no Yuutousei

A century has passed since magic, real magic, real legends; has returned to the world. It’s spring, the time to start over, and a new class of students is about to begin their studies at the National Academy of Magic’s First High School, also known as Magic High School. A spin-off manga from Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei’s hugely popular light novel series that follows the events of the original series from the perspective of Miyuki Shiba, Tatsuya’s sister. The life of an honor student brings many expectations … and unexpected hidden feelings ?!
