Production Details
Masaki Tsuzuki returns to scripting duties, writing and conceptualizing the new story. Takayuki Hamana takes the director’s chair at Seven Arcs—a studio that knows how to stage aerial combat after their work on the saga films.
Visually, Issei Aragaki pulls double duty as character designer and chief animation director, working from Shuichi Kawakami’s original sketches. The lineage remains unbroken.
Voice Cast
The production assembled a squad mixing emerging talents with historical voices:
- Nana Mizuki as Fate T. Harlaown. World-famous for Hinata Hyuga in Naruto and Ann Takamaki in Persona 5. She also performs the opening “CRIMSON BULLET”—lyrics written by herself.
- Yukari Tamura as Nanoha Takamachi. The legendary voice of Rika Furude in Higurashi and Suzuha Amane in Steins;Gate.
- Kana Ueda as Hayate Yagami. The unmistakable voice of Rin Tohsaka in Fate/stay night.
- Azusa Tachibana as Shiina Kuze. A promising young artist leading the new generation.
- Rina Hidaka as Setsuna Kuze. Recognized for Filo in The Rising of the Shield Hero and Silica in Sword Art Online.
The ending, titled “Ephemeral”, will be performed by Hina Aoki.
About the Franchise
Born in 2004, this franchise redefined the genre by mixing magical girl aesthetics with tactical combat typical of mecha shonen and pure science fiction.
This installment places us in a world brought to the brink of ruin 30 years ago by a brutal invasive alien species. Humanity barely survives, ignoring constant danger as the EXCEEDS agency wages a clandestine war in the shadows.
The plot takes us to the isolated eastern island of Mizuho, where we meet Shiina Kuze, a skilled hunter dedicated to eradicating invaders who only wants a quiet life with her sister Setsuna.
That peace won’t last long when the magic cannons start firing left and right.
