One week after its release in the Japanese market, the first Blu-ray / DVD package of the second season of the anime Kobayashi-san Chi is not a Maid Dragon (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid) a total of 3,391 copies sold.
This first Blu-ray / DVD compilation package was released on September 15 in Japan and contains the first through third episodes of this second season as well as the first episode of the mini-series “Mini Dragon EX”. The limited Blu-ray version costs 13,200 yen (about 121 USD) and cumulative 2,306 copies sold, the Standard Edition Blu-ray version costs 9,900 yen (about $ 91) and cumulative 861 copies sold and the DVD version costs 8,800 yen (about $ 81) and cumulative 224 copies sold.
This second season is officially titled as Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon S and has been airing in Japan since July 7th with Crispy roll responsible for sales in the west. For his part, Cool-kyo shinja publish the manga in the magazine Monthly promotion from the publisher Futabasha since May 2013. The first season with thirteen episodes originally premiered in January 2017 in Japan.
Production team
- Tatsuya ishihara (AIR, Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai!, CLANNAD) is responsible for the management of the course Kyoto animation, substitute Yasuhiro Takemoto, who was killed in an arson attack on the first studio building in 2019.
- Yuka Yamada (Koisuru asteroid, Neo Angelique Abyss, Sengoku Musou) returns from the first season to take over the writing and maintenance of the scripts.
- Miku Kadowaki (Kyoukai no Kanata, Tsurune: Kazemai Koukou Kyuudoubu) returns from season one to take on character design.
- Masumi Itou (IS: Infinite Stratos, Koisuru Tenshi Angelique: Kokoro no Mezameru Toki, Kyoukai no Kanata) returns from the first season to take care of composing the soundtrack.

Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon Synopsis
Miss Kobayashi is the average office worker who leads a boring life alone in her small apartment until she saves the life of a distressed dragon. The dragon named Tohru has the ability to magically transform into an adorable human girl (albeit with horns and a long tail!) Who will go out of her way to pay off her gratitude whether Miss Kobayashi likes it or not. . With a very persistent and loving dragon as a roommate, nothing is easy and Miss Kobayashi’s normal life is coming to an end!
