Kiratto Pri Chan series will resume in July

On the official Twitter account for the anime Kiratto Pri Chan, it was announced that the series will resume its broadcast on July 5 with episode # 107. The series had suspended airing new episodes in early May due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on production.

This series is the latest anime in the franchise Pretty series, and the first season premiered in April 2018; followed by a second season that premiered in April 2019. The current series is accordingly the third season.

The Pretty Series franchise started with the arcade game Pretty Rhythm: Mini Skirt released in 2010. This game inspired four anime seasons as well as five animated movies, which in turn led to another franchise, King of prism. The sequel PriPara (also know as PuriPara) Launched in 2014, it inspired four anime seasons and four animated films.

  • Hiroshi Ikehata is in charge of directing the anime in the studios Tatsunoko Production and Dongwoo Animation.
  • Kazuho Hyodo is in charge of the composition of the series.
  • Hajime Mitsuda is in charge of character design.
  • Tatsuya Katou is in charge of the composition of the soundtrack.

Synopsis for Kiratto Pri Chan

The series focuses on two high school girls named Mirai Momoyama and Emo Moegi. The two aspiring idols decide to use the "Pri β˜† Chan System", a system used by celebrities and companies to broadcast live content. Like many other girls who have their own channels and share content, the couple decides to enter the business and open their own channel, to become Pri β˜† Chan idols.
