On the Kodansha website we learn more about the new publication project of the works of Katsuhiro Otomo, the famous author of Akira. Let’s go into more detail.
With the start of publication for 2021, the new collection of works entitled “The complete factory project“was announced by Kodansha Publishing on January 6th. It appears that the new series will contain all of the works in the mangaka from 1971, the year of its debut.
We remember among the author’s numerous works Domu – children’s dreams, Kibun wa mou Sensou and the very famous Akira, whose Italian reprint of Planet Manga was recently postponed.
Otomo is also very well known in Area of ββanimation in which he worked on several works such as Robot Carnival and the adaptation of his own work, Akira. He has also made several Gundam shorts and the Steamboy film, and has been involved in the creation of numerous other feature films.
As of 2018, it appears that the mangaka is write some new paperworkAfter confirming his intention to release his next long series after the success of Akira in 2012, which was released from 1982 and ended in 1990.
