One of the surprises of 2021 for the anime industry was the first season of season Jujutsu Kaisen, based on the manga of the same name, written and drawn by Gege Akutami. The animated adaptation, produced by the MAPPA studio, was made by Shunghoo Parkwho revealed some nice anecdotes about the early stages of the project.

In an interview organized by Crunchyroll, the artist stated that he did not apply to direct the first season and still from MAPPA. had been contacted before I could read at least one chapter of Akutami’s work.

The end result was amazing. The first season of the story of Yuji Itadori and his companions from the Tokyo Institute of Occult Arts was very successful and caused an exponential growth in sales of the manga man, and the production of a film about Chapter 0, a prequel that revolves around the character of Yuta Okkotsu.
