The place in question was made with the help of JoJo’s animation directorwho took the opportunity to kidnap the singer in Hirohiko Araki’s opera.
Below you can take a look at the commercial that featured Miley Cyrus in a range of beautiful settings, from a colorful garden to a lush seashore. In the second half of the commercial the singer uses perfume and is transported into a fairy tale world, with animations, curated by director Tarumi Nishii. The Japanese animator’s touch is unmistakable, with a character design that seems straight out of an episode of the JoJo anime.
For the past two years the world of anime has often encountered high fashion. Companies of the caliber of Gucci, Comme des Garcons, Louis Vuitton and Prada have often created TV commercials in collaboration with Japanese artists or animated series, the greatest examples being the collaboration between Gucci and ONE PIECE and that between Dior and Spy x Family. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is one of the most famous and most cited anime series in recent years, so it is no coincidence that Gucci chose to work with its director.
