It has been reported that the first Blu-ray volume of the animated manga adaptation was written and illustrated by Ryudai Ishizaka, Iwa Kakeru !: Climbing girlstitled Iwa Kakeru !: Sport climbing girls, barely accumulated 204 copies that were sold less than a week after launch.
The volume was released on January 8th in Japan at a price of 12,800 yen (about 123 US dollars) and contains episodes one through four of this series. The package includes an illustration brochure, audio commentary and some non-credit animation sequences. With this amount, the streak is near and only topping the bottom of the worst-selling range of its first volume Munou na Nanawhich had sold only 163 copies in the first week.
The series premiered in Japan in October 2020 and ran for a total of twelve episodes. For his part, Ishizaka began publishing the manga on duty Cycomi from the publisher Cygames The publisher released the second and final compiled volume in November 2018. Ishizaka then began publishing a sequel entitled Iwa Kakeru !: Try a new climb in the same service in June 2019.

Both mangas focus on girls competing in climbing, especially on artificial walls, using their bodies and minds in the process. Freshman Konomi Kasahara discovered the sport at Hanamiya Women’s Academy after training in puzzle games during high school. Her life changed the moment she discovered that her skills could help her.
