Created by Whiskey Mew and only available online, it’s a single malt scotch that was also developed thanks to whiskey critics like Hideo Yamaoka. The first of the two whiskeys has the Joe’s face in profile on the label and it’s a 26 year old whiskey made by the Allt-A-Bhainne distillery and has an alcohol content of 48.9%. The flavors are those of toffee, sakura mochi and umeshu. The second product is “Last Joe”, distilled in Scotland with an alcohol content of 47.6% and aged for 34 years with floral notes and scents of caramel, apple and orange jam.
The bottles, both available in a 700 ml pack, cost 27,000 yen (209 euros) and 52,000 yen (403 euros) respectively, but production has been limited to 178 bottles per type.
